I started this blog as a way to express some of the heartaches that I have felt and continue to feel as a Black Femme. Over the course of this crazy year and a half, I have learned a lot about myself, and a little bit more about how I want to show up in the world. This has been a great space to get some of that angst out, but now the kindest thing I can do for myself is to let it go.
I hope you have enjoyed some of my writing, and I would be greatly moved if you found a story or sentiment to relate to; or even just a chuckle. The next time I attempt to “write” will likely be when I finally discover what that story is that I want to read, but cannot find. Until then, I’ll be traipsing about the ordinary — going to Shabbat, studying towards conversion, digging myself out of the covers to jot a few lines before falling back asleep, creating with my hands, and of course taking long walks looking up at the trees.
